People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
~Audrey Hepburn.
Today marks the anniversary of the birthdate of the lovely Audrey Hepburn. I posted about my connection with Audrey Hepburn in my Portrait of a Lady post last year on this date and my admiration has not changed. I just wanted to honor her with a brief mention today. She was born in 1929 and died in 1993. Her grace and compassion are sorely missing in today’s Hollywood. Happy Birthday, Audrey.
I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.
~Audrey Hepburn.

Just for fun, in anticipation of tomorrow’s Friday Favorites post I thought I’d do a brief recap of the artists featured thus far. If you’ve missed any or want to revisit simply click on the picture to go to the post featuring said artist. I have used pictures not featured in my posts for something new for you to look at. Enjoy.
I am looking forward to sharing another Friday Favorite with you tomorrow.

I love that first quote. She was a neat lady.
That’s a great idea to link all your pics to your past posts.
Thanks Jules!
I saw a bumper sticker on a car today: “I heart Robots” LOL and it made me think of you.
I love the first AH quote: “People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.” and may have to borrow it!
It is a great quote, especially since I work in the mental health field. Unfortunately I have a list of people (in society) a mile long that I’d love to just “throw out”.
Love the bumper sticker…that’s me alright!
At first I was was like ” What no FRAZETTA! ” and then I realized it was recap of your friday favorites artists and I promptly calmed down. 🙂 I can’t wait for friday now. 🙂
As for Audrey I think I’ve only seen two of her films ( Charade and one with a lot of big hats were she falls in love with a gentlemen old enough to be her grandfather. It was kind of creepy ). I remember enjoying her performance in each but not enjoying either film. You will have to steer me towards some of your favorites of hers.
Sorry dude, you are describing some of my favs. Charade is terrific, and My Fair Lady may be my favorite Hepburn movie despite the fact that her voice was dubbed for the songs.
Oh man that’s a bummer for me. She is truely talented though. I saw you mention a Breakfast with Tiffany’s on your Friday’s post. I haven’t seen that one so I think I will give it a try. My Fair Lady, I knew that was the title I just couldn’t remember it last night. Thanks.
(a day late and a dollar shot – ah well)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVELY LADY! (teehehe) anyway, as always carl, you have wonderful tastes…
one more thing – you know carl, it’s weird going back to a post from a year ago and seeing my own words glaring at me – time really is an extraordinary (if entirely imaginary) thing
It is strange Mysfit, isn’t it? I like to go back and read those posts to see how bad/good my writing was and to see how many typos/grammatical errors I completely missed despite several readings.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s wasn’t my favorite but I know alot of people like it better than any other of her movies. Can’t believe you don’t like Charade. Its such a suspenseful movie with great twists. Cary Grant is awesome in it as well. The remake (The Truth About Charlie) was horrible. I liked Funny Face and Wait Until Dark as well.
ah haaaaa! i found you thru lisa’s site…awesome blog! i had no idea you were over here posting all of these wonderful picts and words and such. i’ll come by and visit more often…not much fun on a dial up acct, but c’est la vie! bonjour, kelli
Oh Kelli, I don’t envy you trying to get into here on a dial up account. Ugh!!! Thanks for the visit though, its really cool. I’m still envious of your awesome digs in France right now! Keep up the good work. I’d like to feature your site one of these days if its okay.
